Chelsea is thankful for all her clients who allow her to walk next to them through some of their struggles as well as their celebrations in life. She knows how much work therapy is for a client and is in awe of every client who works so hard to better themselves. Being able to partner with clients through life changes, anxiety, parenting support, trauma, stress and so many other concerns is what motivated Chelsea to become a family therapist.
Chelsea is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT). She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas and her master’s degree from Kansas State University. Since graduating, she has also completed additional trainings to better serve her clients. She is a certified Play Therapist and level 2 trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). When working with clients, Chelsea works to understand the client as a whole person– exploring traumas as well as family patterns and strengths of the individual.
Chelsea has worked with individuals, children, adolescents, and families who present with various needs, such as struggles with life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She knows one of the most important aspects of therapy is the therapeutic relationship between a therapist and client; therefore, Chelsea strives to make the therapy process one of teamwork and a place where clients are comfortable to come and work toward their goals.
In Chelsea’s spare time, she often can be found exploring Kansas City’s parks with her family and two best-dog-friends, Ginger and Basil.
